Low's Mission Statement:

PRAYER PARTNER - We have a prayer partner church - Trinity Lutheran

Church in Sanford. Each Sunday we will include this church in our prayer

concerns and they will do the same for us.

  Pastor John Mark Beam III was called to Low’s in 2013.  Previously he served at St. Enoch Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, beginning in 1999.  A native of Lincoln County, NC, he began his journey of faith at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church, Vale, NC, where he was baptized and confirmed, and later was a member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Newton, NC, where he experienced his call to ministry.  Pastor John Mark is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a BA degree in history and political science and a MA in history.  Following several years working with history museums in High Point and Gaston County, he entered Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio.  Pastor John Mark served an internship at Abiding Hope Lutheran Church, Littleton, Colorado, and did a study tour of the Holy Land while in seminary.

Pastor John Mark is married to a fellow pastor, Constance Jane Garrett, a native of Springfield, Ohio.  They met in seminary and were married in 1999.

 At Low’s, we strive to offer a loving church family in which you will feel a great sense of belonging as we earnestly seek to become the people that God wants us to be. 

Low’s congregation was organized in 1771. 

The current church building is the fourth and was completed at our bicentennial in 1971.  

 We are blessed with a worship-centric sanctuary complemented by a Casavant pipe organ.

 An extensive education building was completed in 1958 and houses the fellowship hall, classrooms, and church office. 

Worship is liturgical and traditional, and Holy Communion is celebrated.   Our faith is found in the Word of God expressed and interpreted through the three historic creeds of the Church and the Lutheran Confessions.
